Listen to Kelsea Ballerini’s Handpicked Fourth of July Playlist

Kelsea Ballerini likes to celebrate good times, and with two No. 1 singles—”Love Me Like You Mean It” and “Dibs”—already under her belt, the Tennessee native has had plenty of reasons to celebrate. With her current single, “Peter Pan,” climbing the charts, the 22-year-old sat down with Nash Country Daily to help us build a celebratory Fourth of July party playlist. Listen to eight of Kelsea’s handpicked tunes on our Spotify playlist and check out the reason behind each of her song selections.

1. Kelly Clarkson – “Heartbeat Song”

“Kelly is one of my all-time favorite artists, hands down, so no weekend playlist is complete without her! I love ‘Heartbeat Song’ because it is one you can jam to in your car with your windows rolled down.”

2. Tim McGraw – “Humble and Kind”

“This song is one that touches my heart and has such a real, raw message. I think this song is a great reminder that the world would be a little better off if you just ‘stay humble and kind.'”

3. Carrie Underwood – “Church Bells”

“Carrie is absolutely killin’ it in this song! I love her vocals and the empowering female message woven into the lyrics.”

4. Dan + Shay – “From the Ground Up”

“This song from Dan + Shay is so beautiful! It’s a great reminder of the deep, lifelong love we all long for, because when the lights go out and the hype from a show is over, you really do just want someone special to share your life with.”

5. Justin Bieber – “Sorry”

“I’m 100 percent a country girl, but I also grew up on pop. This album [Purpose] is so incredibly catchy, and who isn’t a Belieber!”

6. Chris Stapleton – “Parachute”

“Chris Stapleton is amazing, y’all! You really can’t go wrong with any of his music, but I’m really digging his song ‘Parachute.’ His voice is incredible.”

7. Reba McEntire – “Fancy”

“Reba is a true icon. Her music is timeless, and I can’t help but sing along every time I hear this song!”

8. Rascal Flatts – “What Hurts the Most”

“I’ve loved this song for years, and I can’t believe I get to spend the summer touring with these guys. Seriously though, how epic is this chorus? It’s built for the perfect arena singalong.”
