Watch Trisha Yearwood Sing the National Anthem Before Game 6 of the Nashville Predators’ Playoff Game vs. Anaheim Ducks

The NHL’s Nashville Predators were back in action against the Anaheim Ducks for Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals on Monday night (May 22).

Like the Preds seven previous home playoff games, the performance of the national anthem was a star-studded affair—this time Trisha Yearwood had the honor.

In Round 1 of the playoffs against the Chicago Blackhawks, Carrie Underwood (April 17) and Luke Bryan (April 20) sang the national anthem before Games 3 and 4, respectively.

In Round 2 against the St. Louis Blues, Little Big Town (April 30), Vince Gill (May 2) and Lady Antebellum (May 7) had the honors before Games 3, 4 and 6, respectively.

In the Western Conference Finals against the Anaheim Ducks, Keith Urban (May 16) delighted the crowd with an a cappella performance before Game 3, while Kelly Clarkson sang the anthem before Game 4 (May 18).

Tonight, Trisha Yearwood got the call to perform the anthem before the Preds’ Game 6 showdown. Watch Trisha Yearwood sing the anthem in front of the sellout crowd.

Miranda Lambert is Settling Down and Setting Up Shop

Miranda Lambert is Settling Down and Setting Up Shop

If you’ve been to lower Broadway in Nashville over the last several years, you know country music artist owned honkytonks having been sprouting up all along Music City’s famous strip.

Jason Aldean, John Rich, Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line and Alan Jackson all already have venues…but now there’s another name being thrown in the mix, and it’s a first!

Miranda Lambert will be the first female country artist to have a downtown venue. Miranda’s place will be located at 308 Broadway, and looks to be named “Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa.”

Miranda was perhaps encouraged to move into this new venture by a 2018 Nashville Business Journal poll. When music industry pros were asked, “Which female country star should open a downtown bar?” — Miranda garnered the most votes.

Miranda is partnering with TC Restaurant Group on the new place, and it looks like even more details will be revealed in the coming weeks.
