Hank Williams Jr.’s “All My Rowdy Friends” Is Returning to ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” With Florida Georgia Line & Jason Derulo

Are you ready for some football? Hank Williams Jr. and all his rowdy friends are.

Hank is coming back to ESPN’s Monday Night Football this fall with a new version of “All My Rowdy Friends Are Here on Monday Night.” Hank’s new version of the tune, which will feature Florida Georgia Line and Jason Derulo, will debut before the New Orleans Saints play the Minnesota Vikings on Sept. 11.

Hank, who began performing the opening tune for Monday Night Football in 1989, was canned from the gig in 2011 after making comments about President Obama and then-Republican House Speaker John Boehner.

Apparently, six years has healed any wounds that remained between Hank and ESPN.

“I started in 1989 when ABC was celebrating the 20th season of Monday Night Football,” said Hank. “It soon became a staple that fans grew to expect and wanted to see and hear. I am thrilled to be back and bring the fans such a new and dynamic rendition of this anthem. Are you ready for some football? Cause I sure am!”

Hank Jr., Florida Georgia Line and Jason recorded audio tracks in May and filmed the opening video together June 4 at the Marathon Music Works in Nashville.

“This is a huge honor to be a part of such a legendary song and night,” said Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard.

“We all grew up watching Monday Night Football and it’s surreal to join Jason Derulo and Hank Williams Jr. on this new version that gives a nod back but also a step forward,” added FGL’s Brian Kelley.

Take a blast to the past and watch ABC’s 1990 version of Hank and his rowdy friends in action.

Chris Young Earns 3 CMA Award Nominations

Chris Young Earns 3 CMA Award Nominations

Congrats to Chris Young who is a 3-time CMA Award nominee this year.

His song “Famous Friends”, which he sings with Kane Brown, racked up nominations in the categories of Single, Musical Event, and Video of the Year.

Talking about his nominations, Chris says “I was blown away by the fact that there were three award nominations for the song. I mean, there’s so much that’s gone into it and so many people that have fallen in love with it and supported it and, you know, just having a hit with your friend in the first place is great with a song like “Famous Friends” with my buddy Kane Brown, but then to be nominated for three different CMA Awards, including Single of the Year. It’s just incredible.”

Chris, Kane and all the other nominees will learn if they’re taking home trophies, when the 55th Annual CMA Awards are handed out in Nashville on Wednesday November 10 – broadcasted live on ABC.
