Luke Combs Tops Billboard Country Chart for Fourth Straight Week With “She Got the Best of Me”

Luke Combs’ reign atop the Billboard Country Airplay chart continues as “She Got the Best of Me” is No. 1 for the fourth straight week.

The last song to accomplish the four-week feat was Dustin Lynch’s “Small Town Boy” in September/October 2017.

“She Got the Best of Me” is Luke’s fourth consecutive No. 1 single on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, following previous No. 1 tunes “Hurricane,” “When It Rains It Pours” and “One Number Away.”

The four No. 1 singles are featured on Luke’s 2017 debut album, This One’s For You, and the 2018 deluxe follow-up, This One’s For You Too.

Luke is the only solo country artist in history to score four consecutive No. 1 singles on the Billboard Country Airplay chart with his first four singles. While Luke is the first solo country artist to achieve the four-for-four feat, two duos have accomplished the coup: Florida Georgia Line and Brooks & Dunn.

Chris Young Earns 3 CMA Award Nominations

Chris Young Earns 3 CMA Award Nominations

Congrats to Chris Young who is a 3-time CMA Award nominee this year.

His song “Famous Friends”, which he sings with Kane Brown, racked up nominations in the categories of Single, Musical Event, and Video of the Year.

Talking about his nominations, Chris says “I was blown away by the fact that there were three award nominations for the song. I mean, there’s so much that’s gone into it and so many people that have fallen in love with it and supported it and, you know, just having a hit with your friend in the first place is great with a song like “Famous Friends” with my buddy Kane Brown, but then to be nominated for three different CMA Awards, including Single of the Year. It’s just incredible.”

Chris, Kane and all the other nominees will learn if they’re taking home trophies, when the 55th Annual CMA Awards are handed out in Nashville on Wednesday November 10 – broadcasted live on ABC.
